TERA launched in 2011 with the most genuinely twitch-based action combat any MMO had attempted at scale. The battlegrounds, the Civil Unrest mass PvP event, and the FFA PvP-server populations developed a dedicated community across more than a decade of operation. Western live service shut down in 2022. Korean and private server populations continue.
