Gameplay
MultiVersus launched in open beta in 2022, was taken offline in 2023 for a substantial rebuild, and relaunched in May 2024 with redesigned netcode and the 2v2 format positioned as the headline competitive mode. The Warner Bros. IP roster (DC characters, Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones, Adventure Time) gives the game a distinctive crossover identity. The competitive scene is rebuilding around the relaunch.
