Gameplay
DayZ is the slow-burn alternative to the modern PvP shooter. Survival is most of the loop, and the PvP encounters that emerge from it carry weight precisely because they took time to build up to. The modded community keeps the game alive across every platform, and community servers continue to evolve the rule sets in ways the base game never tries.
